Hi brothers and sisters! My name is Loude Donatus, and I am the founder of Lavè.
I am Haitian American, and I grew up in a home of nine alongside six women, each with their own unique hair textures and experiences. Most of our hair ranged from 4A to 4C, which taught me from a young age that every crown has its own beauty and needs.
Growing up in a Pentecostal church, we were not permitted to wear weaves or extensions, so we learned to embrace and care for our natural hair. Through that journey, I developed a love and appreciation for my own thick 4C hair.
For most of my life, I used traditional liquid shampoos until I discovered shampoo bars about two years ago. Learning about their benefits completely changed the way I viewed hair care and inspired me to create Lavè — a brand dedicated to helping others care for their natural hair while honoring God through purpose, excellence, and love.
